Engine DJ to Traktor

This guide will show you, step by step, how to convert your Engine DJ library to a Traktor library.

This guide is the same for Windows and macOS.

Requirements

You need to have the following installed:

Traktor needs to be started at least once.

You need an active Lexicon subscription. Basic is all you need. You can activate your subscription from inside Lexicon.

Steps

Converting from Engine DJ to Traktor is very easy, just follow these steps.

  1. Make sure Engine DJ and Traktor are fully closed.

  2. Open Lexicon.

  3. Go to the Sync page.

  1. Click the Import tracks & playlists button at the bottom.

  1. Choose Engine DJ. Lexicon should automatically detect your Engine DJ database.

  1. Make sure Full is selected so your entire Engine DJ library is imported.

  1. Click Start importing in the bottom right corner.

Now your entire Engine DJ library will be visible in Lexicon. That was part one of the process. The second part is to sync your library to Traktor.

  1. Go to the Sync page again. This time we stay there and don't proceed to the import page.

  1. Choose Traktor. Lexicon should automatically detect your Traktor database.

  1. Make sure Full is selected and leave the other options on their defaults.

  1. Click Sync to Traktor in the bottom right corner.

After the process is complete, your Engine DJ library will be fully converted to Traktor.

All your playlists are now converted to Traktor. All your tracks, cues, beatgrids and other tags will all be there.
